What can you do to improve your Google ranking?

I had a conversation with someone yesterday about ranking their website higher in Google, and I wanted to share some insights with all of you.

We don’t advertise SEO services on our site, but we offer them to people who want to rank their sites #1 in Google as much as possible.

Google has over 200 signals that it uses to rank sites. Not all of them are as important, but here are the top 5:

  • High-Quality Content: Engaging, relevant, and valuable content that satisfies search intent. If you’re a roofer, advise people on how to spot their roof needing replacement, for example.
  • Backlinks: Authoritative and relevant websites linking to yours. If you’re a photographer, try to get your pictures featured on magazine websites with a link back to your site.
  • Mobile-Friendliness: A seamless and responsive experience on all devices. With the majority of people now browsing the web on their phones, it’s crucial to have a mobile-friendly site.
  • Page Experience: Fast loading speeds, secure connections (HTTPS), and no intrusive interstitials. If people wait more than 3 seconds for a page to load, they’ll leave.
  • E-E-A-T: Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, and Trustworthiness. In short, show people you know what you’re talking about.

There are about 195 more of these that make your site irresistible for Google to rank, but start with these essential 5 and you’re on your way.

Book a call with us to find out how we can help you with these and 195 more of these signals.
